Cinco de Maren, I mean, Cinco de Mayo, is one of my favorite days of the year. Ok yes, the date happens to fall on my birthday, and yes, thousands of people come out to celebrate and drinks margaritas with yours truly. Seriously though, the traditional “holiday,” has a lot of significance. Many believe Cinco de Mayo is Mexican Independence Day, however the 5th day of May is actually the commemorative date when the Spanish defeated the French in the Battle of Pueblo in 1862. Either way, I embrace both, so in the spirit of celebration I have found some of my favorite local Mexican hot spots that will no doubt deliver a great time and an even better crowd, and did I mention a sprinkle of Happy Hour?
