There’s a new whisky in town, and it’s sure to impress. Kavalan, the first whisky distillery in Taiwan, will be making its United States debut on April 25th. To everyone’s shock, this whisky beat out traditional Scottish brands during a blind tasting on Burns Night in 2010. In 2012, it was named “Best New World Whisky” by whisky expert Jim Murray, author of The Whisky Bible. Now, it’s our turn to get a taste of Kavalan.
The distillery makes seven varieties of this whisky: Kavalan Classic, Kavalan Concertmaster, Kavalan King Car Conductor, Kavalan Vinho Barrique, Kavalan Ex-Bourbon Cask, Kavalan Sherry Cask and Kavalan Fino Sherry Cask. All of these will be available on the shelves of our stores thanks to Anchor Distilling Company who will be importing this superior whisky.
