Labor Day Weekend in Los Angeles: L.A. Times The Taste.

Summer is food festival central in Los Angeles and the best ones are usually saved for last. If you’re a major foodie, then your calendar for August and September fill up fast and it’s important to plan ahead so you don’t double book. One of our favorite boozy and foodie fests you won’t want to miss is L.A. Times The Taste, which is held annually at Paramount Studios on Melrose.

Festivities for this year’s 2016 Taste begins on Friday, September 2nd, and Opening Night always sells out, FYI. Events continue throughout the weekend with Saturday’s Field to Fork, hosted by Amy Scattergood (LA Times food editor) and Michael Cimarusti (Providence and Connie & Ted’s) and Dinner with a Twist hosted by Jonathan Gold (LA Times food critic), Jenn Harris (LA Times deputy food editor), Ray Garcia (Broken Spanish and B.S. Taqueria) and Michael Lay (Broken Spanish and B.S. Taqueria).

The final day, Sunday, September 4th, finishes up with the Labor Day Block Party (11am – 2pm) and Flavors of L.A. during the evening (7:30pm – 10:30pm). Weekend passes are available and keep in mind this is a 21 and over only event.

Words of advice? Get your tickets before they sell out. Bring sunglasses or a hat for the day events and make sure that swanky outfit your wearing has some spandex love…trust us, we know what we’re talking about.
