Where to Celebrate National Tequila Day in Los Angeles! (2015)

National Tequila Day is right around the corner and if you’re a Los Angeles resident, then we’ve got some tasty tequila options for you. We’ve rounded up some tequila-based cocktails (mainly margaritas) at some local joints and of course, we even threw in a happy hour or two seven. So what are you waiting for? Grab some friends, limes, tequila and salt …and perhaps the UBER app, and say Salud to one our most favorite days to celebrate! Just a reminder though, the whole “one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR” rule exists for a reason ;)

Maradentro (Studio City) – The new-ish seafood joint in the valley boasts a fantastic fish sandwich but they also have some great margarita selections on the menu, too. Catch their happy hour Monday - Friday, 5pm - 7pm or Saturday and Sunday from 4pm - 6pm.

Maradentro Margarita — partida blanco tequila, passion fruit simple syrup, black lava salt

The Tamarindo Tea — casamigos blanco tequila, fresh tamarind, lemon juice, crema de mezcal float

White Sand Sangria — el tesoro reposado tequila, white wine, fresh fruit

The Culver Hotel (Culver City) – Happy hour goes Monday – Friday, 4pm – 7pm and they have a refreshing tequila margarita that’s served martini style and muddled with fresh strawberries and cucumbers. Yum. Get the “Good Witch” (Wizard of Oz reference) for $8 at happy hour.

Te’kila (Hollywood) – Well really, the name just says it all. Te’kila in Hollywood has happy hour and, to boot, a bunch of tequilas to choose from! Happy hour runs everyday from 4pm – 8pm and you score $5 margaritas along with $5 Patron and Milagro Silver tequila shots. Olé, baby!

Gracias Madre (West Hollywood) – While you’re in the West Hollywood area, be sure to stop by Gracias Madre for a Purista Picante cocktail madewith jalepeno infused tequila blanco, lime, agave and flor de sol. During happy hour it’s $10 and quite the tequila treat.

Mercado (Santa Monica, Hollywood or Beverly Grove) – Whether you’re a big fan of the Santa Monica or Beverly Boulevard location, Mercado makes some of the best margaritas in L.A. with fresh-squeezed juices and 100% blue agave tequilas. Here’s what they’ll be serving up for National Tequila Day:

Mercado Margarita – 100% agave silver tequila, triple sec, fresh sour

Margarita de Jamaica – olmeca reposado tequila, triple sec, fresh hibiscus, fresh sour

Spicy Cucumber Margarita – senda real silver tequila, house jalapeño purée, chipotle salt rim

La Piña – partida blanco tequila, muddled pineapple, cilantro, jalapeño
