I’m dreaming of a… you know how to finish it. One of my all-time holiday films, White Christmas, will forever influence the way I appreciate the holidays. I remember watching this movie when I was a little girl and would always sing along: “Snow, snow, snow!” This season, I decided to create a White Christmas Scone recipe with cranberries, white chocolate and eggnog. Not to brag, but I think I nailed it! These scones look so festive and they taste just like the holidays.
The speckles of the sweet-tart cranberries marry so well with the white chocolate and eggnog in this recipe and the addition of orange zest gives it the perfect amount of zing! I feel like cranberries are such an overlooked fruit. It’s not like I would ever eat one raw, on its own, but when combined with the right ingredients – this seasonal red-toned gem is a winner
Nothing says Christmas like eggnog, am I right? I used a light eggnog for this recipe and it worked beautifully, but you can absolutely use regular eggnog. Want to add a boozy bonus to this festive treat? Try substituting Trader Joe’s Eggnog liqueur with the glaze for some spiked sweet treats! It’s the holidays ;)
These White Christmas Scones would be perfect to serve with morning breakfast for holiday guests or the perfect accompaniment to afternoon tea. Or just grab one for yourself with a good book and a cozy blanket. Once you try these White Christmas Scones with Eggnog Glaze, you will be transformed. They are THAT GOOD. Pinky promise. Happy Holidays!
