When you watch Suits, on USA, it makes you think that you can pass the LSAT and become Dana Scott. Or Jessica Pearson. However, it’s not actually that easy. The LSAT is actually really hard. And we all can’t drink Don Julio 1942 every night. The good thing is that we can live through the characters on the show, picking our favorites and cursing those we hate (Louis, you are so girly sometimes you could have been on the female list). We’ve put together a list of the main female characters with the cocktails we think go with them. Now, while you are watching the drama unfold at Pearson Specter, you can sip on a red chili martini (a fit for Donna) and still act like you passed the LSAT even though we all know, you probably didn’t.
We can't wait for Season 4 to begin on June 11th, but in the meantime, we'll be practing our mixology skills and preparing for our favorite cast members to return to television. And here's just a little heads up. On Friday, June 6th, catch the Suits All Night Marathon on the USA network going from midnight to 6 a.m. Cast your votes online now for the episodes you want to air (voting ends on May 5th) and know that we'll be watching with our spiked-Suits drinks and toasting with you!
We believe Jessica would be a Manhattan, but not just any Manhattan. She would want her drink made with the award-winning Bulleit rye and topped with an espresso-soaked cherry. She needs a strong, powerful, and sophisticated drink, just like her, to get her through stressful times at the firm.
Scotty is the kind of person that doesn’t need a chaser. She’s not a shooter, but a shot of Don Julio 1942 instead. Forceful and determined, just like Scotty, this drink will go down smooth with hints of warm oak and peppermint.
This martini has tequila in it, which makes everyone a little sassy. Add some mango to sweeten it up and you have classy Donna, but there’s also shooter Donna (see below).
Donna can also be an redheaded slut (the shooter) when she starts to get feisty. Jagger, cranberry and peach schnapps. Nothing wrong with that.
Rim glass with some juice from lime and dip in the cayenne salt Chill glass in freezer
Make mango puree; blend fresh mango with chili powder to taste; I added three shakes
Put tequila, mango puree and lime juice into shaker; shake and strain into chilled martini glass
Garnish with small red chile
This drink is strong, bold, and sweet; just like Rachel.
Layer ingredients with ice in a shaker tin. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with raspberries.
