Taking Tacos Seriously: Tacolandia 2014

Tacolandia - a beautiful, spacious land where mass amounts of tacos grow and there is a garden that blooms tequila shots. Okay, so maybe that’s a bit exaggerated, but taco lovers everywhere have been waiting for this annual event to commence again. On Saturday June 28th, Tacolandia 2014 will be held at El Pueblo de Los Angeles in downtown from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be more than 40 taco specialists and restaurants participating in the event. Places such as SOL Cocina, Don Chente Bar and Grill, SoHo Tacos, Mariscos Jalisco, and more will be serving their best tacos throughout the day.

Not only will there be countless amounts of tacos, but there will be a variety of tequilas to drink, too. The Tequila Garden will feature at least 15 different brands of tequilas. Remember, tequila is a sneaky alcohol whether consumed via shot or cocktail, so drink responsibly. General admission for Tacolandia is only $30 which includes entry to the event, access to the vendor village and cash bar, entertainment, and of course, the tacos. If you are just looking to grab some drinks at the Tequila Garden, you can purchase tickets for $20 which will get you admission to the garden area only as well as 10 half-ounce tequila shots.
