I'm always looking for new ideas during the pre-Halloween prep season that will work for my annual party. I've got a great location for a Halloween party. I'm pretty much a half a block away from the biggest Halloween street party in the world: The West Hollywood Halloween Carnival. Top that with an at-home all-black cat and it's pretty much a recipe for an All Hallows' eve party success.

I've been making so many craft cocktails lately that I oftentimes forget about the simplest and most classic of drinks like the dirty martini. I used to love drinking dirty martinis, so I've decided to re-vive the briny, boozy cocktail for my upcoming Halloween party. One of the best parts, in my opinion, of a dirty martini are the olive garnishes. You see, I'm...a nibbler. I love edible garnishes or salty snacks when I'm getting my drink on. So in an effort to have an tasty treat garnish and include a simple scare tactic for my guests, I've created the To-dEYE-for Dirty Martini.

Shake these delightful dirty martinis to order at your next Halloween party and I guarantee everyone will be talking about them. Prepare the mozzarella eyeball garnishes in advance and soak them in a quarter inch of tobacco or pickled jalepeno juice for a spicy kick! The disposable mini forks I found are a great pick replacement and eating tool for the olive and cheese garnish. I hope your party is a huge success and Happy Halloween! Cheers, and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more cocktail recipes and fun.

*How to make eyeball garnishes: Carve out a 1/2 inch hole in cherry-sized mozzarella ball. A filet or paring knife works great. Press in a halved, small green olive (round side first). Pierce with a toothpick or mini fork to hold the garnish combo in place. For an optional spicy kick, soak eyeballs in a quarter oz of Tobasco or pickled jalapeño juice for an hour before placing in martini. Keep eyeball garnishes chilled and covered until ready to serve.
